Two vehicle collision in Essa results in loss of life

Members of the Nottawasaga Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a two-vehicle collision that took place on July 27 at approximately 9:40 p.m.
OPP officers along with the Essa fire department and Simcoe paramedics responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a passenger vehicle and a motorcycle on County Road 10 and 20th Sideroad.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old male from Essa, was pronounced deceased on scene. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
County Road 10 was closed for majority of the night of July 27 while the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team attended the scene.
The investigation remains on going.
