Undefeated Express JV team in first place

The TNT Express Junior Varsity team has moved into first place in the Regional Rep Junior Varsity division after winning over the Orangeville Outlaws on Sunday.
The win gives the Express a 3-0 record so far for the season.
Sunday’s game started out with some mid-field action as both teams dug in defensively.
The Express broke out with a nice pass to Nick Giangregorio who ran for 40 yards to score.
Tyler Bollinger followed up with the one point convert kick.
The second quarter saw the Express shut down the O-ville offence with solid defensive posturing by Jameson Cragg, James Baskett, Dayton Sobon, Owen McCann, and Nathan Monseratte.
Orangeville was forced to kick to get out of their own end.
TNT’s Justin Fawcett had a wild run through the Outlaws pack for a second Express TD to make it a 14-0 game.
After being held in their own end the Outlaws had to kick to get out.
Back on offence the Express started with a good run by Tyler Bryan but they couldn’t move on the field and had to punt forcing Orangeville to start on their own 19-yard line.
The Outlaws got on the scoreboard late in the half with a TD but couldn’t follow up with the extra points.
The Express started off strong in the second half when Braham Bischof broke through the O-ville line to sack the Outlaws quarterback.
Orangeville closed the scoring to a 14-12 game with a third quarter TD.
Alex Dolles placed the Express back in command of the game scoring on a wide run to the left.
Bollinger followed up with the extra point.
Justin Fawcett put the Express ahead by 16 points with a strong run down the sideline to cross the goal
The final Express goal of the game when Liam Hunter caught a well placed pass from QB Kyle Boudreau that placed the TNT squad on the 30.
TNT scored with just over a minute left on the clock to win the game 35-12.
That was the final home game for the Junior Varsity team for the regular season.
They have four road games going through to the end of July before starting the playoffs.

Express blank Lions

The team hosted the Cambridge Lions at Mel Mitchell Athletic Field on June 4. The Express played a solid game to leave the field with a 34-0 win over the Lions.
The Express got their first goal of the afternoon when Liam Hunter brought the ball downfield for a first down and Gabe Haley followed up with a run that dropped the ball on the 10-yard line.
Tyler Bryan made it across the goal on the next play to put the Express on the scoreboard.
The Express started off the second quarter with a huge punt return by Alex Dolles that place the TNT squad on the one yard line.
Express quarterback Kyle Boudreau called his own number the next play and made it across the goal to give TNT a 13-0 lead.
A big turn-around came late in the half when Owen McCann intercept a Cambridge pass and returned the ball deep into the Lions end.
TNT’s Tyler Bollinger kicked a three-point field goal to end the half.
Early in the second half the Express took possession when Jameson Cragg picked off an Orangeville pass for an interception.
The Express widened the gap when Jonathan Harper caught a pass in the end zone for a TD.
Bollinger got his second field goal of the game late in the quarter to make it a 25-0 game.
Going into the final quarter the Express scored early when Tyler Bryan ran to the right to cross the goal
With just under three minutes remaining on the clock, Nick Giangregorio got the final Express TD to wrap up the game for the win.
