Upcoming event provides holistic wellness retreat for Valentine’s Day

An event taking place north of Alliston will give women what they really want for Valentine’s Day.

The VenusMood 2025 Women’s Day Retreat will provide a day of holistic wellness and connection.

Women age 18 and up, are invited to attend this retreat at the Tiffin Centre for Conservation in Utopia.

Held in a beautiful forest setting, that day is dedicated to sensory immersion, relaxation, and empowerment.

The retreat is named after the Roman goddess of love – Venus – who embodied all things sensory, art, and indulgence. The VenusMood retreat will guide participants through a venusian day of connection, healing, and empowerment. 

“The last thing women want for Valentine’s Day is a breakfast in bed that they have to clean up,” said Dawn Rebel Skinner, retreat organizer and founder of Mood Honey Aromatics. “What most of us want is a guilt-free break, where we can relax, turn inward, and enjoy some serenity and sisterhood. Even women in relationships want a Galentine’s Day, where women support, uplift, laugh with, and enjoy life with one another.”

This day retreat features a day of sensory-based wellness activities including sound healing, a Cacao Ceremony, aromatherapy, meditation, art, yoga, chakra dance, a swag bag, and a vegan/allergen-free lunch.

The retreat will be led by a team of inspiring leaders and providers, including keynote speaker Candance Sampson and Allison Rietta who will guide participants through Yoga Nidra and sound healing. Laurin Wolf is hosting the opening cacao ceremony, and Dawn Rebel Skinner is bringing the power of natural scents.

The Sine Baking Co. will provide a gluten-free, vegan, and nut-free lunch and snacks.

The VenusMood 2025 Woman’s Day Retreat will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, at the Tiffen Centre for Conservation in the Grand Room in Utopia, Ont. from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
