If you are planning to vote in the upcoming municipal election, you will need to produce your voter letter card that identifies you as a qualified voter, when you arrive at the polling station.
The voter letter cards are being delivered by mail to residents of New Tecumseth.
Make sure you have the right card for you, as some errors can occur.
These could include cards arriving for children who may no longer live at the residence, a person who is deceased, and/or duplicate voter cards with variations of names for the same person.
Voter cards have already started to be mailed to local residents.
If you received a voter letter in error, notify the elections team at the Town office at 705-435-3900 or by e-mail at elections@newtecumseth.ca to rectify.
The voter card will tell you which polling station you are eligible to vote at, and provides information for elections staff to verify your identity and cross you off the list once you have voted.
The municipal elections will take place on Monday, Oct. 24.
