Nottawasaga Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers have arrested two individuals following a weapons investigation that began in early August.
On Aug. 17, shortly after 11 a.m., officers responded to a report from a resident in New Tecumseth regarding an injured pet. The complainant advised that their cat had been shot with what was believed to be a BB gun. Tragically, the animal later succumbed to its injuries.
As part of the investigation, officers executed a search warrant at a residence on 4th Line in New Tecumseth on Aug. 27, shortly after 7 p.m. During the search, police located and seized several improperly stored firearms, including:

Marisa Marini, 71, of New Tecumseth, was arrested and charged with:
Danilo Rebuli, 73, of New Tecumseth, was arrested and charged with:
Both accused parties have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bradford on Oct. 9, 2025.
The listed charges have not been proven in court.
