Winterfest provides mid-winter fun in Alliston

Now that the colder weather is here, you can hide indoors, or take advantage of the things that only happen during the winter.
The Town of New Tecumseth is hosting its annual Winterfest at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre (7300 Industrial Pkwy.) to provide a fun day of activities in the outdoors.
This is a free family event that offers plenty to do and see.
The Great Canadian Lumberjack Show features some rough and tough lumberjacks sawing large logs and swinging some big axes.
If you want to see some town equipment, Touch a Truck offers the chance to see the Town’s fleet of working vehicles up close.
There will be balloon twisting, Paw Patrol, the Transformers, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Stitch to entertain children in attendance.
You can head indoors to the arena and enjoy an afternoon of skating.
Winterfest will take place on Saturday, Feb. 1, at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
