Cool Moose fundraiser helps CLASS

Cool Moose Creamery Alliston held its 9th annual Ice Cream Block Party recently. This year, the recipient of all fundraising efforts was the Community Living Association of South Simcoe, or CLASS. During the 3-hour event, $4,350 was raised.

Steam take OT loss in home opener

The Tottenham Steam started off the new season on Sept. 10 when they hosted the Oshawa River Kings. The opening game had to moved when the Tottenham Community Centre arena suffered a power outage that caused the ice to melt.

160th Beeton Fall Fair this weekend

The 160th Annual Beeton Fall Fair takes place this weekend, Sept. 16-18 at the Beeton Fairgrounds. The theme of this year Fair is “Rural Roots.” The theme encourages us to reconnect to our farming heritage in New Tecumseth, with appreciation for the hard work and dedication shown by farmers who developed our area with their own blood, sweat and tears.
