Community raffle brings ‘Good Vibes’ and generosity to CONTACT

This summer, CONTACT Community Services, in collaboration with the Friends of the New Tecumseth Library, rolled out a community raffle aimed at supporting local families and individuals. The “Good Vibes” raffle not only sparked excitement in the community but also strengthened the bond between two dedicated organizations.
CONTACT’s Community Hope Chest benefitted from the proceeds of this raffle by raising funds to help our most vulnerable community members in times of urgent need. The Hope Chest is an ongoing initiative that continues to support families, individuals and seniors who are struggling with life’s most basic needs.
The Friends of the New Tecumseth Library are excited to have raised funds toward their new laptop lending library at all three locations. This program will be beneficial to many local community members and library patrons.
Successful fundraisers require the collective effort of many supportive, community-minded businesses, enthusiastic volunteers, skilled ticket sellers, and generous community members. They all play a vital role in making a fundraiser like this impactful.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Canadian Tire Alliston for their unwavering support. Their generous donation of a Blackstone 4-burner griddle was a hit, igniting lively BBQ-inspired discussions at the ticket table and helping to sell many tickets. Congratulations to Mike P., the lucky winner of this fantastic prize!

Gift cards were a hit this year, providing winners with the chance to pick their own rewards. We were thrilled to offer two “choose your own” gift prizes: $500 in Uber Eats / Rides, compliments of Uber and $500 from Amazon, courtesy of a generous leader from Friend of the New Tecumseth Library. We hope Jennifer L. and Dave T. are enjoying their shopping sprees!
A special shoutout to Iron Butterfly, a local blacksmith based in Lisle, for their creative contribution: a custom outdoor firepit adorned with a maple leaf. We’re sure winner Allen F. is looking forward to many bonfire evenings this fall!

Creemore Springs Brewery and Georgian Bay Leisure teamed up to offer a dozen beers a month for a year, along with a very cool cooler. Brenda P. is set to host some legendary gatherings with this awesome prize!

The competition was fun, friendly, and maybe a bit fierce among volunteers, staff and attendees to help spread the ‘Good Vibes’ in all corners of the community.
