CONTACT and Friends of the New Tecumseth Library come together to spread some ‘Good Vibes!’

In a world that continuously challenges our resilience, the power of community support shines even brighter. CONTACT Community Services and Friends of the New Tecumseth Library are thrilled to announce a fabulous partner fundraiser: the Good Vibes Raffle. 

This exciting raffle not only promises unique and exciting prizes but also aims to raise vital funds to support local families in need while contributing to the purchase of much-needed laptops to create a Lending Laptop program at all three New Tecumseth Library branches!

Tickets for the Good Vibes Raffle are only $10, providing affordable access for community members to participate in a heartwarming cause that directly impacts their neighbours. The funds generated from ticket sales will be channelled into two significant areas: assisting families facing hardships in our community and enhancing the technological resources available at the New Tecumseth Libraries.

In recent years, the economic landscape has shifted dramatically, leaving many families struggling to make ends meet. By participating in the Good Vibes Raffle, individuals not only engage in an exciting opportunity to win prizes, but they also contribute to a fund that can help lift up their neighbours in need.

Furthermore, the library plays a pivotal role in fostering education, literacy, and community connection. In an age increasingly dominated by technology, the demand for digital resources is higher than ever. The funds raised through this raffle will directly support the acquisition of laptops, equipping patrons with the essential tools they need to succeed both academically and professionally.

The Good Vibes Raffle features an exciting array of prizes that reflect the generosity of our community. Participants will find something for everyone, ensuring that the excitement of winning is mixed with the joy of giving back. Below is a sneak peek of the prizes up for grabs:

• Blackstone 4-burner gas griddle with a $50 Zehrs gift card (generously donated by Canadian Tire in Alliston and Zehrs Alliston)
• Black Loon Hard Shell / Soft Touch Backpack Cooler from Georgian Bay Leisure, plus Beer For a Year! A dozen beers a month for a year from Creemore Springs Brewery
• Handcrafted outdoor fireplace from Iron Butterfly Blacksmith
• $500 Uber Eats / Drive
• $500 Amazon Gift Card
• One pound of wings a month for a year and a gift basket from Perfect Szn Eatery & Pub
• One beautiful skid of sod (83 rolls) from Brayford Sod
• Two prizes from Trillium Ford, including a fabulous Gold Vehicle Detailing package and swag

Participating in the Good Vibes Raffle is easy. Community members can purchase tickets either by e-transfer to donations@contactcommunityservices.ca or in-person at The Clothes Line store in Alliston or at any New Tecumseth Library Branch. With only 2,000 tickets being sold, we expect they will sell out fast!

The big draw takes place during The Alliston Potato Festival on Saturday, August 8, at 3 pm, at The Clothes Line store in Alliston. You don’t even need to be there to win!  Winners will be contacted and announced on social media. 

By purchasing a ticket for the Good Vibes Raffle, you are investing in your community. Your contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of families in need, offering them hope and support during challenging times. Additionally, your support helps the New Tecumseth Library enhance its resources, fostering education and growth for individuals of all ages.
