This evening promises to be a unique fusion of gastronomy and philanthropy, bringing together community members for an important cause — supporting CONTACT’s Community Hope Chest fund. This fund plays a crucial role in helping families and individuals in critical need within our community.

Cheers for Change is not just about delicious food — it embodies the spirit of community support and compassion. This event aims to raise critical funds for CONTACT’s Community Hope Chest fund, which provides essential assistance to individuals and families facing significant challenges in our community. CONTACT’s Community Hope Chest fund is aimed at helping meet the ever-growing need for critical services that ‘don’t fit into a regular funding model’. 

These funds often cover basic needs, such as transportation costs for a client to get to a doctor’s appointment, a job interview or an apartment viewing.  Additionally, these funds can provide emergency food, school supplies, technology and communication equipment, or prescriptions that may be out of someone’s financial reach. 

“I was struggling to keep up with basic expenses. My phone bill and other household bills had fallen behind, while any remaining money was going toward food. The financial support lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. It helped me catch up, regain some stability, and focus on moving forward instead of constantly worrying about how I would make ends meet. Thank you CONTACT staff,” says one grateful Community Hope Chest recipient.

This fundraiser aims to foster connections between community members and underscores the significance of standing together in uncertain times. As the narrative of hope unfolds, an atmosphere of unity and determination will fill the Henriette Cafe.
