Spring is in the air, and with it comes the return of a local tradition.
The Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival is coming to the Tiffin Conservation Area, featuring a full day of outdoor fun, hands-on activities, and, of course, fresh maple syrup.
Admission to the Festival includes a pancake-and-sausage breakfast served with locally made maple syrup. Maple syrup, produced on site, will be available for purchase.
Throughout the day, visitors can explore both historic and modern maple syrup production and gain a deeper appreciation for this iconic Canadian tradition.
Activities will include interactive animal exhibits, dog agility demonstrations, and scenic tractor wagon rides through the forest. There will be live music, and local firefighters will add to the event’s welcoming, community-focused atmosphere.
For an additional fee, you take part in bird box building, maple taffy tasting, and professional photos with Ryleigh Young.
“For more than 30 years, Spring Tonic has brought the community together to celebrate the sights, sounds, and flavours of the season,” said Kyra Howes, Director of Conservation Services at the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority. “The event is made possible through a strong partnership with the Rotary Club of Barrie, whose dedicated volunteers play a key role in organizing and delivering the festival experience. From preparing meals to hosting activity stations, their contributions help create a memorable day for all.”
Brad’s Tree Service returns as the Golden Syrup Level Sponsor, helping make this beloved community event possible.
“All proceeds from the festival support both the continued care and enhancement of Tiffin Conservation Area and the Rotary Club of Barrie’s many community initiatives,” added Darren Robinson, Chairperson of the Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival at the Rotary Club of Barrie. “These include contributions to local organizations and services such as Royal Victoria Hospital, YMCA, affordable housing projects, and other programs that strengthen communities across Simcoe County.”
The Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival will take place on Saturday, Apr. 11, and Sunday Apr. 12, at the Tiffin Conservation Area in Utopia.
