It has been a good start to the North Dufferin Baseball League (NBDL) season, with a lot of great matchups around the region.
There is a real battle for first place in the Senior division in the NDBL, with the top four teams all poised to take over the lead.
The Owen Sound Baysox are currently in first place with a 7-2-1 record and 15 points.
In second place, the defending champion New Lowell Knights have six wins and one loss. However, they have played three games that ended in a tie, earning them a single point for those games. That gives them a total of 15 points.
The Bolton Brewers are one point behind, with 14 points recorded so far this season. The Brewers have seven wins and two losses.
In fourth place, the Ivy Rangers have a 6-3-1 record and 13 points.
The Creemore Padres are in fifth place, followed by the Lisle Astros.
With a 24-game regular season schedule, there is still a lot of baseball left, and a lot can happen through the rest of the regular season.
The Creemore Padres are leading the Junior Division of the NDBL, going undefeated this year after six games.
However, a lot can happen as the schedule is not following a balanced series of games so far.
In second place, the Mansfield Cubs have already played 11 games. They have won six and lost five, which currently leaves them in second place with 12 points.
The Orillia Royals are in third place, having played only five games. They are undefeated so far.
The Innisfil Cardinals are in fourth place, followed by the Barrie Baycats, Richmond Hill Phoenix, and the Orangeville Bengals.
The Bengals are still looking for their first win this season.
The Junior Division has an 18-game regular season schedule, running until July 14, before heading into the playoffs.
