The Honda Canada Foundation announced a significant $4 million charitable donation to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation. The commitment includes $1 million to purchase life-saving medical equipment. On Friday, June 9, cancer survivors, those currently battling the disease and friends and families came together at the PPG/Alliston Fairgrounds for the annual Relay For Life fundraiser. Benefitting the Barrie Chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society (that supports New Tecumseth and its residents), the event raised $53,000 through pledges and donations.
