The South Simcoe Arts Council (SSAC) held a “Meet the Artist” event, during its annual Arts on Main display – entitled “Explorations” – on Saturday, September 24.
The event coincided with the Alliston BIA’s final Farmers’ Market of 2022, which ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and was an opportunity for SSAC-affiliated artists to demonstrate and display their artwork in front of the SSAC’s flagship store, FortyOne: Local Art Market.
Arts on Main is a juried exhibition and sale, featuring paintings, photographs and 3-D sculptures, displayed in the main street windows of Beeton, Tottenham and Alliston. This year, there are 45 entries that will be adjudicated by professional artists, with cash prizes are given to the winning artists.
The SSAC’s Explorations event runs from September 15 until October 5. For more information, or to view the 45 entries for 2022, visit the SSAC online at: southsimcoeartscouncil.com or call 705-435-2378 or email info@southsimcoeartscouncil.com.
