South Simcoe Police have identified and arrested three suspects connected to an arson incident that took place last November.

A structure fire occurred on Hofland Street near Killarney Beach Road in Lefroy on Nov. 22, 2025.

An explosion was heard near the Morgan Russell Memorial Arena and Community Centre, that was traced to the skate park where investigators recovered a 25-litre fuel can and fireworks. Parts of the skate park sustained damage, while the Hofland Street fire caused significant destruction to the former fire hall.

The investigation was led by the South Simcoe Police Service Crimes Against Persons Unit. Surveillance footage from the area captured three male suspects carrying a 25-litre gas can at the time of the incident.

Through investigation, police identified the suspects and arrested three youths, aged 15 and 16. All three have been charged with Break and Enter, Arson, and Mischief Under $5,000.

The charges have not been proven in court.
