Northern Budzz is Beeton’s newest business

If you’re into marijuana products, you’ll appreciate the fact the Northern Budzz Cannabis Dispensary is now open in Beeton.

It is Beeton’s first cannabis store.

The store held a grand opening on Saturday, November 6, at its Main Street location.

There are a wide variety of cannabis and related products available either in store or you can order on-line 24/7 and utilize the curbside pickup service during the store’s hours of operation.

“We opened on the Thanksgiving long weekend,” said store owner Mike Bereas. “So far, so good. It’s been progressively picking up steady every day,” he said of the traffic he has seen coming into the store. “Once more and more people know and townspeople are starting to spread the word we are here – more people are coming in every day.”

The store is required to operate under the rules of the Ontario Cannabis Store.

“We’re a licensed cannabis retailer so we carry everything from the OCS – our supplier,” Mr. Bereas explained. “Everything is regulated. It’s pretty much like the liquor store where we buy all our product from them and they ship everything to us. We choose what we want to put on display and the sell it accordingly. Everything comes pre-packaged, and is tamper proof. You have to be 19 and over to enter and have proper identification. We’re here to educate people on the different types of things we have.”

While smoking is probably the most well-known way of using cannabis, the store carries wide variety of products.

“We have flowers, hashes, concentrates, edibles, and beverages,” Mr. Bereas said. “There’s a little something for everyone. We also have some stuff that doesn’t have THC in it, so people that want to feel the effects of the THC can reap the benefits for the products. It can help with inflammation and things like that. It’s more of a natural pain relief than taking medications and prescription pills.”

Northern Budzz is open seven days a week, Monday to Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
