Tottenham Artisan and Farmer’s Market now open for the summer

July 9, 2021   ·   0 Comments

After taking last year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tottenham Artisan and Farmers Market is again open at Keogh Park in Tottenham for the summer.

Every Sunday, local artisans and farmers will be setting up their booths and offering unique items, produce, and other goods to local residents.

The market got underway on Sunday, July 4, with a grand opening to celebrate the first weekend of the popular market.

The Sunday Concerts in the Park series will be returning in August and the events will take place at the same time giving visitors somewhere to stroll when the band is taking a break.

“We took over the market three years ago from the BTBIA,” explained Robyn Caruana, President of the Tottenham & Beeton District Chamber of Commerce. “This is our big return, our big grand re-opening. This is the seventh season including the time with the BTBIA. It used to be down at the four corners. Music in the Park will be here again starting the first week in August for five Sundays. Today we have all kinds of bath and body type products, we have homemade and handmade items. We have our local farmer from Lornwood Farms with fresh produce and specialty vendors.”

This year, the vendors will be changing every weekend to bring in a variety of different products.

“We’re switching them up every week to give our local artists and artisans an opportunity to attend,” Ms. Caruana said. “It gives more people the opportunity to be here.”

The market started with ten vendors to keep in line with current restrictions but there is enough space that more vendors can be added each weekend.

The Market will happen every Sunday through July and August from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the last market of the season will coincide with the Music in the Park’s grand finale, so this will be a special day to hear some music and find something interesting at the vendor booths.
