Abilities in Motion (AIM) will be holding their yearly regatta at Earl Rowe Provincial Park just outside of Alliston and giving the public an idea of what they do there.
The organization promotes inclusive paddling and helps people with physical disabilities and mental challenges enjoy getting out on the water.
Abilities in Motion has active locations in Alliston and London, Ont.
This August regatta will be an opportunity for the public to see what they do and find out how much members enjoy being able to enjoy a summer day paddling.
AIM built a boathouse at the provincial park several years ago to store their complement of kayaks and canoes, and the boathouse serves as a meeting place and park headquarters.
The regatta will be taking place over two days.
Returning this year, the big canoe is a favourite of people who attend the event. The 26-foot craft allows several people to get on board and enjoy a cruise through the waters of the park.
The event will take place on Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19.
Entrance to the park to attend the event is free, but you must register prior to arriving.
