The Beeton Honey & Garden Festival Committee is hard at work planning this year’s festivities.
The annual one-day street festival, held along Main Street, Beeton, draws thousands of visitors to New Tecumseth and has something for everyone – from fresh honey and honey-based products, to artisans crafts and tons of yummy food vendors.
This year’s Honey & Garden Festival will be held on Saturday, May 28 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
“There are over 170 vendors attending and with free admission, it’s the biggest and best yet!” confirms Linda Rutledge. “Back again this year is our ‘Antique Alley.’ Visit these booths for vintage finds including antique furniture, collectibles, jewellery and more.”
The event also offers an “International Marketplace” selling clothing, textiles, crafts and more from exotic locales around the world.
“Local vendors will be lining the street, offering unique merchandise for the home, garden and you,” said Rutledge. “The creations of talented local artists are on display for sale at the Artist and Artisans Marketplace. Shift your focus to the outdoors with the help of vendors offering all things garden related from seasonal décor, to plants, to gardening supplies and more.”
Car enthusiasts will be also be pleased to note that the Honey & garden Festival Classic Car and Truck Show will be back again this year.
“Enjoy live entertainment under the big tent at The Muddy Water Bandshell while sampling an eclectic array of foods including Louisiana BBQ, Caribbean Jerk, Indian cuisine, sushi, pizza, souvlaki, fresh cut fries, gourmet grilled cheese, fish tacos, funnel cakes, fresh fudge, kettlecorn, donuts, ice cream, pretzels, sno cones and fresh squeezed lemonade. And don’t forget to visit our honey producers for some of the province’s most delicious honey!” said Rutledge. “Visit our free Family Fun Zone and enjoy a variety of activities for all ages including live entertainment.”
