South Simcoe Streams Network is looking for volunteers to come out and plant native trees and shrubs along local waterways.

Planting trees and shrubs along waterways provides many benefits to the environment. It provides habitat for wildlife and helps stabilize the banks along rivers and streams.

Taking part in a tree and shrub planting event is a great way for family and friends to enjoy the outdoors.

For students, it is a responsible way to earn community service hours while making a positive contribution to the local environment.

Planting events run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
