In a tradition spanning more than three decades, the Tiffin Conservation Area will once again host the Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival.

Hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Barrie, the Festival will take place at the Conservation Area on April 6 and 7.

During the Festival, visitors will take a trip back in time to explore how maple syrup was made in the past. They can then see how maple syrup is made in modern times.

You can end your tour with a pancake and sausage breakfast with fresh maple syrup. Tiffin maple syrup will be available for sale on-site in limited quantities. All maple syrup sales proceeds will go towards the Rotary’s community initiatives and the maintenance of NVCA’s conservation areas.

There will be plenty of things to do at the park during the festival.

The Zoo to You animal show also allows you to pet the animals.

A Watchdog agility demonstration provides lots of action from energetic canines.

You can relax on a tractor-wagon ride through the forest and dance to live music performed by local musicians.

Visit the education centre to make crafts and build your own bird box to take home.

The Spring Tonic Maple Syrup Festival will take place on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Breakfast will be served until 2 p.m.

Admission for a family of four is $65. Individual adults are $20, and kids up to 12 are $15. Kids 2 and under are free.

The Tiffin Centre for Conservation is located at 8195 8th Line of Essa in Utopia.
